Carol Harrington RN, BC, ANP, CDE

Ms. Harrington completed her undergraduate degree in nursing at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1986. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation while working on her master’s in nursing.

After completing her Clinical Nurse Specialist degree through the University of Missouri-Kansas City, she worked at Cardiovascular Consultants for 8 years.

During this time Ms. Harrington completed post graduate work to obtain her Nurse Practitioner certification. She is board certified as an adult nurse practitioner. Ms. Harrington is also a Certified Diabetes Educator.

Ms. Harrington began working with Kansas City Internal Medicine in 2003. She manages acute and chronic health problems as well as educating of patients for diabetes, weight control, osteoporosis and abnormal cholesterol levels. Ms. Harrington has special interest in diabetes and vascular disease. Carol has been a speaker locally for cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Ms. Harrington grew up in the Kansas City area. She is married with 2 children. Her hobbies include gardening and spending time enjoying her children’s various sports activities.
