Paul Katzenstein, M.D. |
Dr. Katzenstein completed his undergraduate training at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1976. He worked and participated in a Masters degree program at the University of Minnesota, then attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, graduating in 1983. His Internal Medicine training was obtained at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, 1983-1986. He worked for the Hopkins Health Plan for one year as an internist, then moved to Cleveland, Ohio for Rheumatology fellowship training at Case Western University, which was completed in 1989. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he was full time faculty at the University of Texas from 1989 to 1995. During this time at UT he was involved in teaching, patient care and basic science research. He subsequently moved into private practice, first in Houston and since 1997 in Kansas City.

Dr. Katzenstein is board-certified in Rheumatology and in Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. |

Dr. Katzenstein was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, still has family there and misses Chesapeake Bay and Gulf blue crabs. When he has time he spends it with his three children and with friends; interests and hobbies include swimming (for fitness), reading, and community service.
