Dr. Whitaker attended the and graduated from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana in 1975. He then attended the University of Kansas Graduate School from 1975-1976. He then went on to the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1980. He completed his internship and residency at Lakeside Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri from 1981-1984.

He is currently on staff at Research Medical Center.

Dr. Whitaker enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
